Innovative Holistic Veterinarian

In addition to our long history of excellence in traditional veterinary care, we are well known for Dr. John Simon’s innovative work as a holistic vet trained in gentle alternative techniques for good health and healing.

Dr. Simon, owner of the clinic since 1970, is also a homeopathic vet who uses herbal remedies when possible. Woodside Animal Hospital wants to help you protect your pet’s health and provide the best quality of life possible. That is why we offer such a broad array of traditional and alternative medical treatments.

Holistic and Traditional Techniques

Woodside’s holistic practices include acupuncture and chiropractic treatment as well as glandular, pulsed magnetic, infratonic and soft laser therapies.

One of Dr. Simon’s many alternative treatment methods uses painless cold laser therapy to repair cruciate ligament damage and painful conditions including arthritis, ruptured discs and post-surgical incisions. Cold laser therapy avoids anesthesia and the invasiveness of surgery.

Traditional practices at Woodside include anesthesia, cancer treatment, dental care, diagnostic lab work, routine and emergency surgeries (including orthopedic correction), physicals and vaccinations.

You may request traditional, alternative or combined medical services for problems such as arthritis pain management and treatment of fleas, ticks and internal parasites.
